OAKLAND — The San Antonio Spurs will be without wily veteran point guard Tony Parker against the Warriors due to a ruptured quad, but acting head coach Mike Brown doesn’t see much drop-off with former Saint Mary’s star Patty Mills now starting at the point.
Mills, Brown said Friday, presents a different kind of threat to the Warriors.
“He can shoot from range, but the biggest thing that he does is he moves so well without the ball,” said Brown. “You can never relax on him. If he has the ball in his hands, you have to make sure you stay connected or he’s going to knock down the 3.
