ESPN's Brian Windhorst suggests Warriors may have made up Kevon Looney's illness

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst is just asking questions about what led the Golden State Warriors to start JaMychal Green over Kevon Looney in Thursday’s 127-100 Game 2 win over the Lakers.

Officially, the answer is simple: Looney was dealing with an illness, thrusting Green into the starting role. Coach Steve Kerr after the game noted that Looney “came down pretty ill” just a couple of hours before the game started. On his podcast, Draymond Green recounted seeing Looney in film sessions and workouts and being surprised by how bad he looked.
