ESPN reporter ‘responsive’ after possible stroke at Warriors game

As of Sunday evening, ESPN reporter Shelley Smith was undergoing tests at an Oakland-area hospital after suffering stroke-like symptoms at Oracle Arena after Game 1 of the Western Conference finals.

Smith, who was being evaluated for a possible stroke, tweeted Sunday night, “I’m good!!! Waiting for test results! Thankyou everyone!!” An ESPN spokesman told the Washington Post in a statement Monday morning that Smith is “now alert and responsive. Shelley has consistently proven that she is truly a warrior and her continued strength has been a source of inspiration to so many. We send her the very best wishes for a speedy recovery.
