ESPN’s microphones caught Warriors guard Gary Payton II annoying the hell out of Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards early during Saturday’s playoff game.
The Game 3 broadcast showcased Payton as part of their “mic’d up” segment during a stoppage in play. Most of the clips feature the 32-year-old being really nice to fans, but there’s one moment where he’s preparing to play defense that stood out because of Edwards’ reaction to his approach.
The clips show Payton grabbing onto the hands and arms of the Wolves star as Edwards gets set up on offense.
