Draymond Green sidelined ‘the next few games’ with finger sprain

Forward Draymond Green is out for Saturday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets and will miss more time with a sprain to his left index finger, leaving the Warriors with no healthy players who played in last year’s Finals.

Green, 29, tore a ligament in his left index finger. While the injury isn’t as severe as those afflicting guards Stephen Curry (left hand) and Klay Thompson (ACL), Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Green is “going to miss the next few games for sure.”

Guard D’Angelo Russell, 23, is also out with a right ankle sprain.

On the heels of playing their first game without Curry, who will miss at least three months as he recovers from surgery on his left hand, Green had a bandage on his left hand following the Warriors’ 127-110 loss to the San Antonio Spurs Friday.
