OAKLAND –All that tension over “cupcake” taunts and on-court trash talk suddenly dissipated. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook not only played together in the NBA All-Star game this week as co-existing teammates once again. They did what normal friends do. They actually talked to each other. They laughed. Their enjoyed each other’s company.
Since then, Durant and Westbrook have gone their respective ways and have become opponents once again. So in yet another chapter in their evolving relationship, one can only wonder how that might play out when the Warriors (45-14) host the Oklahoma City Thunder (34-26) on Saturday at Oracle Arena.
