LOS ANGELES — There marked a time when Doc Rivers’ main concern did not entail figuring out how to stop all of the Warriors’ All-Stars.
When the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers played in the NBA postseason five years ago, Rivers navigated how to deal with the fallout over embattled owner Donald Sterling making racist comments on publicly released audio tapes.
“I didn’t know what I was doing, honestly,” Rivers said.
