DeMarcus Cousins leaves Game 2 early after taking fall

OAKLAND — Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins exited Game 2 of the team’s first-round series against the Los Angeles Clippers with 8:09 left in the first quarter with a noticeable limp in his left leg.

After forcing a turnover on Clippers center Ivica Zubac, Cousins chased the looseball only to fall without anyone around him. Cousins fell right in front of the Warriors’ bench, prompting Steve Kerr, his assistants and the team’s training staff to stand up. Cousins soon stood up on his own, but he promptly limped to the locker room.

It is not immediately clear the severity of Cousins’ possible injury.
