As a former Laker and a current Warriors, D’Angelo Russell is already surely a familiar face for Chinese NBA fans.
Now he’s about to get a lot more facetime across the country, as he’s joined shoe company Li-Ning’s Way of Wade brand, a collaboration with ex-Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade.
Way of Wade made the announcement on Instagram earlier Thursday here stateside.
This news organization followed reports back in October that Russell was nearing a deal with the Chinese shoe giant. That came amid the NBA’s public standoff with the Chinese government over Rockets GM Daryl Morey’s support for Hong Kong protesters.
