Curry injury update: Grade 1 MCL sprain, out two weeks

The Warriors said in a statement released Monday morning that reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry sustained a Grade 1 MCL sprain in his right knee and the his status will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Curry was injured on the last play of Sunday’s Game 4 against the Rockets in Houston when he slipped on a wet spot on the court and fell awkwardly to the ground. He immediately grabbed his right knee, stayed on the court for several moments then sought the asistsnace of teammates to stand up. He then kimped heavily as he ran off the court to the locker room.
