For the casual fan, Christmas Day marks the unofficial start to the NBA season, providing the league a platform to showcase its best teams and players on the biggest regular-season stage.
Since the team’s first appearance on the holiday in 1961, the Warriors have gone 11-15 on the holiday.
In recent years, however, the Warriors have been a staple for the occasion, playing a total of six games since 2010, going 3-3 over the eight-year span.
