Chemistry and Identity (W's 120 — Sacramento 101)

Without Demarcus Cousins, the Kings began last night’s game steadily enough. They didn’t try to run pell-mell with the W’s. They were more selective in pace and shot selection (initially) than they often are.

But you just waited, knowing that the W’s blitz would come—and as it turned out, it was to come in repeated waves.

Last night a team searching for chemistry and identity had the misfortune of running head-on into the team who is the epitome of those qualities. The W’s have already scrambled the neural systems of better teams than the Kings. (My only disappointment two nights ago was that at the last minute Houston managed to pass the check of handing the 76ers their first win in months:) For all I know the Clippers are still hollering at each other.
