An old video resurfaced on Reddit this week of Warriors coach Steve Kerr rapping in college — and boy, is it a treat.
The video, made in 1988, is a "Super Bowl Shuffle" type ode to the Arizona basketball team. Among the players featured are Kerr, Sean Elliott, Tom Tolbert and Anthony Cook. None of these men are good at "rapping."
The song starts off: "W! I! L! D! Cats! We're wild about the cats!"
With their team name thus established, the song moves to each player in turn. Kerr's verse, delivered with great enthusiasm at the 2:00 mark, goes for factual accuracy over flowery metaphors.
