OAKLAND — The Warriors have a 1-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals thanks in part to Kawhi Leonard’s early exit in Game 1 that propelled Golden State to an 18-0 run after trailing by 20 points at halftime.

Sports can be brutal. Injuries are a cold reminder of that. Leonard leaving the game in the third quarter after scoring 26 points in 23 minutes allowed the Warriors to charge back and overcome a 25-point deficit en route to a 113-111 victory over the Spurs.
