In the bad old days (ie decades) of W’s irrelevancy, the problem was that the W’s kept on tearing up the same old street and re-patching it with new gimmicks that not even the W’s themselves could convince themselves constituted an actual plan. New coach. New GM. New over-paid “best player” who wasn’t even an all-star. New draft pick who was never the right guy or right pick. Has-beens, wannabes, and cast-offs.
This season the record might nominally look the same. But nothing actually could be more different than the season now from those seasons then. Intact system and coaching staff.
