If the ends justify the means, the Golden State Warriors’ road trip to open the season was a success. Without Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, with an utterly untested set of lineups that couldn’t even share the floor together in training camp or the preseason, and with some truly historic shooting struggles from a number of their players, the Dubs scratched and clawed their way out of a 0-2 hole to finish the stretch with a pretty convincing 116-106 win over the Detroit Pistons. It wasn’t a blowout, and there were certainly warts worth treating with salicylic acid, but I saw a lot of very positive signs for the Warriors as they return to the Bay Area for an extended homestand with a .
