It is December 18, 2019. The Golden State Warriors can trade D’Angelo Russell if they want now. They can trade Alec Burks, Glenn Robinson III, Willie Cauley-Stein and several others if they so desire.
One of the next major marks on the NBA’s calendar is the trade deadline which will be in early February. That will have a major impact as a handful of championship-caliber teams that will be looking to improve their rosters prior to the ensuing late April playoff runs.
For the first in the past half a decade, the Warriors will not be one of those teams.
