This season isn’t going as expected for the Golden State Warriors.
Coming into the season, we knew, at the moment, the Warriors weren’t a contending team. However, there was hope that Stephen Curry would keep this team in contention long enough to see the return of Klay Thompson.
Thompson was ultimately supposed to be the team’s savior, potentially leading them to the promise land once again. Well, sadly, that scenario, which seemed likely, just hasn’t panned out with Curry injured until early February.
With Curry’s absence, D’Angelo Russell, one of the team’s four max-contract players, has stepped up.
