After a dreary, injury-plagued 2019-20 season, the Golden State Warriors have been offered a reprieve: the No. 2 overall pick in the NBA Draft. Given that the Dubs are only a year-and-change removed from being title contenders, their top selection — in tandem with the healthy returns of superstar guards Steph Curry and Klay Thompson — could catapult them back to the upper echelons of the Western Conference.
The big question for Wednesday's draft, which begins at 5 p.m. PST on ESPN, is whether Golden State will keep the No. 2 pick. This year's draft class isn't considered to be as strong as the last few, and there isn't a prospect who's necessarily a perfect fit with the team.
