Warriors Rumors: Mark Jackson Fired

According to Yahoo! NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Golden State Warriors fired head coach Mark Jackson after a meeting early Tuesday afternoon:

According to Bay Area sports columnist Tim Kawakami, an argument with Warriors assistant GM Kirk Lacob (son of owner Joe Lacob) may have escalated tensions between Jackson and Warriors management:

Golden State plans to pursue several candidates to fill their coaching vacancy. Jackson leaves Golden State with a 121-109 overall record, and two consecutive playoff appearances in the last two years. Despite a positive relationship with his players, Jackson never saw eye-to-eye with Warriors management and clashed with multiple assistants.
