Warriors News: Stephen Curry Becomes Fastest Player In NBA History To 1,000 3-pointers

If you've been watching Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors for more than a few months...this really shouldn't come as a surprise. In last night's 117-102 win over the Indiana Pacers, Curry became the NBA's fastest-ever player to make 1,000 three-point shots.

Curry reached the 1,000 three-pointer mark in his 369th career start, a full 88 games fewer than it took Dennis Scott (the previous record holder). Scott, one of the NBA's top long-range threats during the 1990s, took 457 games to reach the milestone. Curry made 4 of his 8 three-pointers in the game, scoring 21 points to go along with 15 assists and 4 steals. Curry is averaging 22.9 points per game this season, and while his three-point percentage is down slightly from last year, he's still making just over 39% of his attempts from beyond the arc.

As good as Curry was on his record-setting night, it was his fellow Splash Brother who stole the show. Klay Thompson nearly set a new career-high with 40 points on 14-25 shooting, making six three-pointers on the night. The Warriors also welcomed center Andrew Bogut back from a knee injury which kept him out of Golden State's last 13 games.
