GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS REPRESENTING THIS ALL STAR WEEKEND

It is finally All-Star weekend and there are plenty of Golden State Warriors who will be in attendance! This week cannot get any more exciting. Valentines day was yesterday and even though I did not win the chance to become Kent Bazemore’s valentine, today begins All-Star weekend!

Stephen Curry, David Lee, Harrison Barnes and Klay Thompson will all be in attendance during the All-Star weekend. I, as well as many other fans, am still a little bitter about the fact that Curry was not selected to play in the coveted All-Star game this Sunday but we will all be able to watch him in the 3-point shooting contest for the second time this Saturday. He is taking on Paul George, Kyrie Irving, Steve Novak, Ryan Anderson and Matt Bonner. He is tied with Steve Novak with the highest 3-point shooting percentage at 44.7%. Curry being snubbed from the All-Star team may have been a blessing in disguise. With his 3-point percentage he’ll blow us away on Saturday.

Barnes and Thompson will be crowd pleasers this weekend in the Rising Stars game. Harrison Barnes has made a name for himself this season. As a rookie he has been starting games and making game winning decisions. He has become an outstanding player and will only become better as he matures. As for Klay Thompson, this is his second year in the NBA and he has shown that one day he too will be playing in the All-Star game.

Each day of the All-Star weekend, there will be at least one Warrior making an appearance. The Rising Stars games airs on Friday, which includes both Barnes and Thompson. We will see Stephen Curry in the 3-point shooting contest which airs on Saturday and last, but not least David Lee will be representing the Warriors as the first All-Star in 16 years.

This year the Warriors have astounding turnout for the All-Star weekend with four players being chosen for events. It’s about time this team gets acknowledged for their hard work. This is the Warriors’ golden year and this weekend is proof of that.
