Saturday, September 9th:
After sweeping at Jacksonville State last weekend, both cross country teams headed out to Athens for the u[sic]ga Invitational. This week, despite another solid showing in both the men’s and women’s events, the teams finished second in their respective divisions, though they were facing a much better level of talent. The men, running 8K this week, came up just short, finishing 7 points behind behind Texas A&M, despite finishing with a better per-runner average time in the event (cross country is scored by place, with the goal to have the lowest total finished across the first five finishers on your team).
