The NBA has handed down a two-game suspension to Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard J.R. Smith, that will be served consecutively in the second-round of the playoffs.
What this suspension means is that Smith’s understudy and fellow trade-mate, Iman Shumpert, is going to be seeing a whole lot more playing time.
In Cleveland’s 101-93 closeout win over the Boston Celtics to finish their sweep of the series, Shumpert logged 38 productive minutes of work and finished the game with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
