Georgia Tech received commitment number nine of the 2018 football recruiting cycle this afternoon when three-star defensive back Zamari Walton announced his intentions to enroll with the Jackets. He made his big choice on a Facebook video stream this afternoon.
A well-regarded prospect out of Melbourne Central Catholic in Melbourne, FL, Walton chose Tech over reported offers from Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, Mercer, and Samford. He made an unofficial visit to the Flats back in late April, per 247Sports, and took just a couple of months to make his final decision in favor of head coach Paul Johnson and Georgia Tech.
