Before kickoff, several Virginia Tech players had their jerseys stolen. In a rare show of sportsmanship, Georgia Tech lent the Hokies a few white jerseys. The names were handwritten on makeshift nameplates, and blacked-out Russell Athletic logos had quickly drawn Nike swooshes underneath.
