The issues Georgia Tech’s offensive line had blocking against Notre Dame last week carried over into the first half of Saturday’s game at Duke.
The Yellow Jackets rushed for just 87 yards in the half, far below their average of 377 yards per game.
The total was low becuase Tech had trouble sustaining drives. The Yellow Jackets failed to convert their first six third downs, though three of them were at least seven yards. They converted their last two third downs in the half and were converting 40 percent coming into the game.
Tech was also stopped for just a gain of a yard on a B-back run up the middle on fourth-and-3 at the 36-yard line in the second quarter.
