On Saturday, the Jackets fell to 3-4 on the season, unable to recover from fumbles on three straight plays, which led to a 21 point deficit in a span of just 1:49. Late in the third quarter, Tech and Duke were tied at 7-7 and the Jackets were driving to take their first lead of the game. That’s when sophomore Jerry Howard lost the football, resulting in a Blue Devils touchdown four plays later. On the first play of the ensuing Tech possession, quarterback Taquon Marshall lost the football attempting to dive forward for an extra yard, leading to another Duke touchdown.
