Technical Tidbits 8/8: Freshman WR Impressing Early, Team Ready for Pads

It’s only been four practices but a Georgia Tech freshman is already turning heads. WR Adonicas Sanders, a two-star recruit and a late addition to the 2017 class, garnered high praise from Matthew Jordan. The junior QB was impressed with Sanders’ ability to make plays on deep balls, noting that he made “an OBJ-type one-handed catch” during one-on-one drills. Coach Paul Johnson was similarly effusive with his comments saying that the freshman “has done some good things.” Despite the impressive start to fall camp, Sanders has an uphill battle to playing time with starters Ricky Jeune and Brad Stewart firmly entrenched and past camp darlings such as Jalen Camp lurking on the second line of the depth chart.
