Yesterday, Bleacher Report published a feature on the journey of Georgia Tech’s own Joe Anoa’i’s journey from branding his own bicep with a heated coat hanger in high school to All-ACC Defensive Lineman on the Flats to Roman Reigns, three-time World Heavyweight Champion and WWE Superstar. If I’m being completely honest, I did not follow Tech during Anoa’i’s time playing for the Yellow Jackets and I don’t know anything about wrestling but it’s pretty cool to see stories like this about Tech alumni succeeding in major ways.
While not anywhere near as high profile as Anoa’i/Reigns, former Georgia Tech punter Durant Brooks received a nice profile in the Macon Telegraph on Sunday.
