Georgia Tech has officially experienced the first transfer of the Josh Pastner era as freshman guard/forward Christian Matthews has formally announced his intentions to leave the Flats after just one season of college basketball. Though he played in just fifteen games this year, a well-developed Matthews would’ve been a big help to next season’s Tech team which currently lacks wing depth in a huge way. Originally a Brian Gregory commit, Matthews elected to stay on board when Josh Pastner was hired almost exactly a year ago and never reopened his commitment. Hopefully Pastner will put his scholarship to good use by going out and getting a nice new prospect.
