With the NFL draft starting later this week, the Worldwide Leader took a look at the last 15 drafts to try and quantify which colleges produce the best players at the next level. Many of ESPN’s findings confirmed commonly held ideas about which schools translate best into the NFL (Miami TEs are very successful, no one makes better linemen than Wisconsin, etc.) but one ranking that may have caught casual observers off guard is Georgia Tech sitting atop the WR leaderboard. Over the last 15 drafts, no school has had their WR alumni outperform their draft position by a higher margin than the Yellow Jackets, largely thanks to the exploits of Calvin Johnson and Demaryius Thomas.
