Following a series win against #6 Florida State, a pair of Yellow Jackets picked up ACC Honors on Monday. Sophomore SS Austin Wilhite was named ACC Player of the Week while sophomore P Connor Thomas shared ACC Pitcher of the Week with Virginia’s Derek Casey. Wilhite led a hot GT offense with an 8/15 line, including an inside-the-park homer, 5 RBIs, and 3 runs. Thomas threw a complete game on Saturday, allowing 1 run on 6 hits while striking out 9 Seminoles. Thomas is the second Jacket to be named ACC Pitcher of the Week, following Xzavion Curry’s honor last week.
