Georgia Tech announced the promotional schedule for the upcoming 2017 football season yesterday morning, featuring a goldout and a whiteout plus the usual suspects for what should be a fun season of football at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The official goldout will be held for the season opener against Jacksonville State, a strange choice given that the 2016 goldout against Vanderbilt really seemed to energize the stadium and made the crowd look excellent both on television and in person. The whiteout, meanwhile, will come against North Carolina on the final weekend of September. That decision is also somewhat puzzling given that there are no fewer than two bigger rivals coming to town in Georgia and Virginia Tech, but any whiteout is a good whiteout.
