This has been quite a season for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets women’s basketball team. In head coach Nell Fortner’s second season as head coach, the Yellow Jackets qualified for the NCAA Tournament and for only the second time in school history, they’ve made it to the Sweet 16 where they will play the University of South Carolina Gamecocks — the number one seed in their bracket. For senior Lorela Cubaj and junior Lotta-Maj Lahtinen, their play has garnered them well-deserved recognition. As the article mentions, both Cubaj and Lahtinen are among 52 finalists for the 2021 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) NCAA Division I Coaches’ All-America team.
