The No. 17 Georgia Tech baseball team improved to 7-0 on the season this weekend with a three-game sweep of UMBC at Russ Chandler Stadium. The Jackets, undefeated through seven games for the first time since the 2010 season, used yet another phenomenal pitching performance from freshman Jonathan Hughes (who is yet to allow a run in 12 innings of work this season) to finish up the sweep on Sunday afternoon. In fact, the entire pitching staff has been nothing short of phenomenal all season long, having allowed just 12 total runs through 7 games.
