Even though they got up by sizeable margins at times, the Georgia Tech Basketball team could not finish the job against the no. 13 Virginia Cavaliers. The Jackets had a great shooting night (60% from three) and only had six turnovers (gone are the days of 15+ turnovers). G Jose Alvarado led Tech with 20 points, while F Moses Wright contributed 13 points and 5 blocks. A win here would have bolstered Tech’s NCAA Tournament portfolio, but you cannot complain too much about a two-point loss to a top-15 team. The Jackets are scheduled to play Duke tomorrow night at 9 p.
