Georgia Tech is without a top kicker once again following yesterday’s decommitment by top-rated placekicker Joseph Bulovas, a long-time Georgia Tech commit and All-American special teamer. Citing “better opportunities elsewhere,” the Louisiana native decided to reopen his commitment and carry on with the recruiting process after well over six months as a commit for Paul Johnson. There was a bit of drama with Bulovas’ recruitment a few weeks back, but that was thought to have been smoothed over prior to yesterday’s announcement. Don’t give him any flak for his decision regardless of where he ends up. We know absolutely nothing about his decision as far as what he considers a better “opportunity” (a school with a better selection of majors, perhaps) or what the circumstances in his life are.
