Technical Tidbits 12/06: Football Team Plans For Offseason

Well, this article was a pretty interesting read. Georgia Tech football coach Geoff Collins laid out some of his objectives for the team during the offseason and, to summarize, they included gaining weight and learning from close-calls. I’m sure he specified to his players that they should gain 10-pounds of muscle. With the strength and training program run by strength-and-conditioning coach Lewis Caralla (and of course, a nearby Waffle House) this should be feasible. Regarding the tape of the close calls and key moments that were difference makers in Tech’s wins and losses, I like that idea. Of course, as the saying goes, close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.
