News broke yesterday that georgia Middle Linebacker Monty Rice is likely to miss Saturday’s Clean, Old Fashioned Hate with a leg injury suffered in pregame warmups last Saturday. This is a tough blow to the dawgs’ defense, as the play of linebackers Roquan Smith and Natrez Patrick was a big reason for Tech’s struggles on offense last year. Rice is in his first year as starter, but it looks as if coach Kirby Smart will have to go to his bench to try and contain the option this weekend.
Despite the fact that Tech was eliminated from coastal division contention a couple of weeks ago, the Jackets have more than enough to play for on Saturday.
