On Monday, ESPN’s Jeff Goodman reported that Georgia Tech and Georgia State were nearing a deal to play a basketball exhibition game to raise money for hurricane relief. Assuming the deal can be finalized, it will be the second such exhibition scheduled over the past few days. Last week, Kansas and Missouri reached an agreement and received the necessary NCAA waiver to renew their rivalry with an exhibition in Kansas City. While Georgia Tech-Georgia State doesn’t quite have the storied history of the Border War, it would be pretty cool to see the two local schools play on the court for the first time since 2008.
