It took the better part of a month, but head coach Josh Pastner has finally hired his first assistant coach in the form of Georgia State assistant Darryl LaBarrie.

LaBarrie, who is one of the best-regarded assistants in the Atlanta area, is hardly a stranger at Georgia Tech -- he played on The Flats and was an assistant coach under Paul Hewitt for two seasons. An excellent recruiter with deep roots in in the city, LaBarrie is credited with bringing in a wide array of talented players for Georgia State.
