The spring semester of classes began on the Flats on Monday, and among those Yellow Jackets beginning a new set of classes were a pair of freshman football players. Defensive backs Jaytlin Askew and Gentry Bonds are now enrolled on the Flats after graduating from their respective high schools in December.
The two players join the Swilling brothers as the top four recruits in the Yellow Jackets’ 2017 recruiting class, according to both Rivals and the 247Sports Composite. Bonds is a 4-star (5.8) recruit according to Rivals, while Askew is a high 3-star (5.7) recruit by the same service.
