First off, Jacksonville State is no slouch. The Gamecocks are a top five FCS team with a former five star running back who had two weeks to prepare compared to the Jackets four. That said, this game should not have been close and for a long time in the first half it was. As we approached halftime, the Jackets were down 7-3, still having not scored a touchdown after racking up 650 offensive yards last week. It was then that the Jackets got a huge interception from Lawrence Austin that led to a Ricky Jeune TD catch and a major change of momentum.
