The Tennessee Titans knew that if they were going to move out of the No.2 spot in the NFL Draft that they were going to have to be offered a kings ransom to have that happen.
Nobody brought a bounty for the pick, so the Titans did the common sense thing and drafted Marcus Mariota with the No.2 pick.
Marcus Mariota will be the starter for the Tennessee Titans in 2015. You don’t take a quarterback that high if you don’t plan on putting him under center from Day One.
Ken Whisenhunt even said as much during the NFL Meetings in Arizona that you simply don’t take a player that high in the draft without planning to start him.
