Coming out of Georgia Tech, Bart had a career stat line of .321 avg, 30 HRs and 115 runs scored in three years. He was the 2018 Johnny Bench award winner, which is given to that year’s most outstanding college catcher. Bart was also a former 15th round draft pick by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2015 but decided to attend Georgia Tech instead.
That being said, Bart going in the first round of this year’s MLB draft wasn’t too shocking. Bart was drafted by the Giants as the number two overall pick in the MLB Draft and signed a $7.
