Bobby Petrino and his staff received some exciting news on Monday evening, picking up their twelfth commitment from the 2016 class.
Malik Staples, a 6-foot-1, running back from Suwanee, GA., informed the Louisville staff of his verbal pledge last night and then made the announcement public, via his Twitter account.
Staples is the high school teammates of fellow 2016 Louisville commit Baylen Buchanan, who committed to the Cardinals last year.
The three-star prospect also had scholarship offers from Boston College, Georgia Tech, Iowa, Oregon State and Wake Forest, among others.
Staples is one of the many 2016 recruits to visit Louisville this past weekend.
