Georgia Tech’s leading scorer out for Bahamas trip

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men’s basketball team will be without leading scorer Marcus Georges-Hunt for its seven-day trip to the Bahamas as the rising senior wing continues to recover from a broken foot. Head coach Brian Gregory broke the unfortunate news to Ken Suguira of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“If we had pushed it, we would have had (medical clearance) by now, but we made the decision actually in the beginning of the summer that this was the game plan for us,” he said.

Georges-Hunt was averaging 13.6 points and 5.5 rebounds per game last season before breaking his right foot in the regular season finale against North Carolina.
