Coming into play as one of the hottest teams in the nation with two consecutive top-15 wins, Georgia Tech failed to maintain its momentum with a 74-62 loss at Clemson on Wednesday night.
Perhaps the biggest run of the game came at the end of a second half that was mostly back-and-forth until the final minutes.
Ben Lammers layup with 1:38 remaining cut the Tigers lead to 25-24. In the final 1:11, Clemson took a 7-0 run into halftime to build an eight-point lead. Josh Okogie hit two free throws to start the second half that cut the lead to six, but the Jackets never got closer than that for the remainder of the game.
