Standing 6’2” and 180 lbs and hailing from Deerfield Beach, FL (just outside of Boca Raton), Gowdy is considering Tech and over 20 other schools, including West Virginia, Syracuse, Oregon and Penn State. After Gowdy came to visit campus in late May, wide receivers coach Kerry Dixon sold him on a future on the Flats. 247Sports’ Composite rates Gowdy as a four-star prospect, ranking him as the #311 player and #54 WR in the nation (as well as the #53 player in the state of Florida).
